My work is an expression of my love for the Canadian wilderness and the natural landscape and all that it encompasses. The energy of cascading water and the howling winds as they sculpt the clouds that form around the mountains, the smell of the fresh moist air in the forest and along the shorelines, the drama of the light peeking through clouds at sunset, the delicacy of the wildflower struggling in a harsh environment are all things that engulf my soul and fuel my paintbrush.
The Canadian Rockies from Banff to Jasper; Lake O’hara in Yoho Nat. Park; Mount Assiniboine Prov. Park; and the Bugaboos in the Purcell Mountains are all amazing examples of the mountain wilderness that captivates me.
My brush is the instrument I have to communicate to you the beauty in nature and let it touch you as it has touched me.
